Recently, we celebrated #HalfwayToTheHolidays with all kinds of special holiday announcements from Disney!
When Disney released all of those holiday details, it also alluded to a mysterious summer event involving the Nightmare Before Christmas called Halloween Town Beach Club. This announcement was hidden among the Christmas merchandise updates released by Disney, and not many details were given. But now we FINALLY know more about Jack’s summer vacation and honestly, it’s not at all what we expected.
Previously, Disney noted that our one and only Pumpkin King needs a little bit of relaxation every once in a while and that’s why he’ll be heading on a summer vacation.
When Disney first hinted at this event, we thought the words “Beach Club” in the title could indicate it might be something held at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Or, maybe Jack and crew would be heading to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park for some summer fun. But this event is actually something totally different.
It seems Jack will be bringing some Halloween and Christmas fun to…New York as part of his vacation. The Halloween Town Beach Club experience will take place on Saturday, July 24th, in New York City.
What exactly does this experience involve? Well, Halloween Town Beach Club will feature a “themed photo booth, bookable cabanas, digital souvenir shopping,” and more. It seems the main photo opportunity will be with a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed lifeguard chair, but there may be other photo opportunities available as well.
The experience will be located in New York on the corner of 9th Ave and W 14th Street.
Right now you can head to the Halloween Town Beach Club site to book your photo booth experience or book a cabana. When we tried to search for the cabanas, no times appeared to be available for booking yet but be sure to check back on the website for more updates.
The cabana experience notes that it’ll include 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella in the middle of Halloween Town Beach Club. Guests will be able to soak up the sun and enjoy photo ops.
You can also scan the QR code below from the Halloween Town site to unlock a special Instagram and Facebook filter as part of the event. The filter is said to feature a summer-inspired Jack Skellington.
WELL, that wasn’t what we expected at all! But, if you’re a big fan of Nightmare Before Christmas and will be in the New York area, you can stop by the event to check it out. Or, you can enjoy the special social media filter and shop some spooktacular items from home.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates on this event and other holiday news, and we’ll let you know what we find.
