Fourth of July weekend is still going strong in the parks as head to the parks to continue our celebrations in Disney World!

And, while the holiday brought us themed tarts and cupcakes, chili cheese dogs, and even reopened dining locations, there’s something else new swirling up in the World Showcase today!
If you’ve ever been over to EPCOT’S Garden House (AKA the Japan Pavilion’s Outdoor Sake Bar), the Sparkly Dragon has taken up a pretty prolonged residence there. While it will have a special place in our hearts, it was about time for a new star on the rise to arrive on the menu! And, the Blue Samurai cocktail has definitely filled that position as a brand new drink that has just debuted TODAY!

The Blue Samurai is mixed up with Shochu, Monin Blue Curaçao Syrup, Calpico, and Lime Juice to make that gorgeous bright blue color. It even matches the World Showcase Lagoon!

So, was the Blue Samurai a worthy predecessor of the Sparkly Dragon with its $9 price tag? We have to say that this cocktail was definitely on the dangerous side. You could BARELY taste the alcohol in it, making it perfect for all the grown-up guests who want a drink in the parks. The Calpico was the prominent flavor with a creamy texture and sweet taste, as the lime gave it a kick of citrus flavor!

If you’re looking for the perfect summer cocktail to beat the heat, this is it, folks! But, you’ve been warned — you might want to go back for seconds.
