We’re spending our Independence Day at Disney World to check out all the fun new 4th of July treats, including a Mickey-topped 4th of July Cupcake, a 4th of July Funnel Cake, and a Patriotic Boozy Drink! And we think we just stumbled onto one snack that was MADE for frosting fans!
Meet yet another 4th of July Cupcake… .
4th of July Cupcake Sign
This one is a Vanilla Cupcake, with White Frosting, topped with Blue Frosting, topped with Red Frosting, and a Fondant Mickey Flag.
VERY patriotic
And yes, that is frosting layered on frosting layered on more frosting. It is a LOT of frosting — so much that it makes this one a little messy to eat! But if you love frosting, you should try this one out.
SO much frosting
The cupcake itself is pretty basic but it was super fluffy and moist –– pretty much all you can ask for in something with the word “cake” in it. The cream filling is yummy, but we think it was a bit TOO much for this particular snack — sometimes less is more. Also, the flag on top was fondant and not tasty at all.
A lot going on here
If you want to try it out for yourself, we found it at Traveler’s Cafe at EPCOT for $5.99. It’s probably only available for today, though, so keep that in mind.
And we’ll keep trying all the 4th of July treats at Disney World today, so stay tuned for more reviews!
