REVIEW: The Combo of TWO Desserts We Didn’t Know We Needed in Disney World

It’s no secret that we LOVE Gideon’s Bakehouse, and we head over to the Disney Springs location almost every chance we get!

And we’ve had so many yummy treats there, including a Coffee Cake Cookie, a PB Chocolate Swirl Cookie, and a slice of Hazelnut Mocha Cake! Earlier this week, we tried a new cookie at Gideon’s inspired by the Flavors of Florida. Now, we’re trying a cake slice that also celebrates Floridian flavors!

Key Lime Pie Cake Slices have made their way to Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs this weekend! So, we thought we’d order a slice — you know, for science! After all, it has our two favorite words in it: “pie” and “cake.” It’s a 3-Layer Key Lime Cake with Key Lime Cream Cheese Frosting and pieces of Graham Cracker Crust.

Sweet stuff!

The great thing about key lime flavors is that it mixes sweet and tart flavors together for a nice, light, and sweet flavor. And this cake is ALL that and more! Even if you don’t typically love cake, we think this slice might be an exception.

The sweet flavors come mostly from the cream cheese frosting, which really takes those key lime flavors up a notch.

FROSTING for days

So this cake slice is a real hit, maybe even for people who don’t necessarily like cake. And it’s available now for $9. You can typically expect to find it at Gideon’s East End Market location a few times a month, but it’s only at the Disney Springs location today and tomorrow! It’s limited to two slices per person.
