REVIEW: Can We Marry A Cake at Disney World? Asking for A Friend…

If you haven’t figured it out, we’re big fans of Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs!

We mean, who doesn’t love gigantic cookies FILLED with yummy ingredients, and cake slices to — quite literally — die for!

So when we found ourselves at Disney Springs today, how could we resist dropping by? We decided to go for a slice of Hazelnut Mocha Cake because well, hazelnut + mocha sounds like heaven to us! To be exact, it’s Chocolate cake layered with Mocha and Hazelnut Frosting with Crunchy Hazelnut Pieces. We also thought we noticed hints of peanut butter.

Like we said — this is a slice of heaven!!! And we’re seriously not kidding when we say that. The cake itself was moist and fudge-y (ooh yeah). Although there is a TON of frosting on this thing, it’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly so.

And those hazelnut pieces? They added a super nice crunch to everything!

We’re suckers for chocolate and hazelnut flavors anyway (we could eat that flavor combo ALL DAY LONG), so every bite had us more in love with this slice of cake. Yes, we are those kinds of people who eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon — don’t judge!

Just one bite…or two…or three… who are we kidding? We’re eating the whole thing!

So we’re going to recommend that if you love chocolate and hazelnut as much as we do to head over to Gideon’s Bakehouse and get a slice for yourself for $9. We’ll be back to try out other flavors of snacks here, so check back again soon!
