Happy Easter, DFB Friends!

Capt. Cook’s!
We’ve been busy eating our way around all the Easter snacks at Disney World, including things with bunny butts, donuts with Peeps on them, pastel Mickey Whoopie Pies, and more! But we’re just getting started!
We tried two MORE Easter treats today, this time at Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. And these two treats are truly works of art. These Chefs have done an incredible job!
First, we’ve got the Easter Chocolate Cupcake, which sounds a lot more boring than it is. Because LOOK AT IT. It’s got Three Blue Frosting Birds nestled in a Chocolate Frosting Nest.

BIRDS in a chocolate nest! So cute!
These details are precious, and we’ll admit that we couldn’t look those birds in the eye when we cut into it to eat it. Sorry, not sorry, birdies! 😉 But it’s not just pretty, it’s also super tasty — because inside the chocolate cupcake is raspberry cream cheese mousse. And it is DIVINE. This cupcake is similar to the Welcome Back Aloha Cupcake we had last June. And yes, we liked that one, too.

Raspberry filling!
But we had another beautiful cake to try — the Easter Bunny Chocolate Cake! This is a Chocolate Cake fashioned to look like the Easter Bunny with White Chocolate Ears.

Adorable
But it’s the details on it that really make it stand out — it even has a Butterfly on it!

There’s A Butterfly On Our Cake!
However, once we dug in, we realized that this cake looks a lot more extraordinary than it tastes. It’s just basic chocolate cake, and if that’s your thing, we get it. But we expected so much more based on its looks. It’s GOOD chocolate cake, but there aren’t any yummy fillings to take it up a notch like the cupcake has.

Both cupcakes are available now for a limited time for $5.99. And we’ll keep trying all the Easter snacks at Disney World and let you know how they are!
