Okay guys, we’ve gotta talk about Disney World’s specialty license plate.

The license plate, which Disney announced last October, celebrates Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary! 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Make-a-Wish organization, giving ya a great opportunity to do good while your car is stylin’. Recently, we shared that Disney officially released the plate’s design! And now, we have another exciting update.

The plate has been available for pre-order since last October, and a minimum of 3,000 of those pre-sale vouchers needed to be sold before production of the plate could begin. Well, as of TODAY, that number has been reached! According to the Orlando Sentinel, 3,568 plates have been pre-ordered — that’s the most pre-sales out of ALL of Florida’s specialty license plate pre-sales. Plates have 2 years to reach that threshold, but Disney pulled it off in just over 5 months!

That means the plate will be moving into production soon! If you wanna grab a pre-sale voucher yourself, you can get one for $25 (plus any state administration fees) through your local County Tax Collector’s Office, your DMV, or online through the Orange County Tax Collector’s Office.

When we got in touch with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and spoke with an employee at one of their Service Centers in Orange County, Florida, the employee said you did not have to go in person to request your pre-sale voucher. You can mail it in instead! But we recommend that you call the Service Center in your county in Florida to check if they have any specific procedures they’re using.
