Welcome to the 2021 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!

Jardins de Fiestas
We’ve been bringing you live updates since the festival began, and we’re back to give you another food booth review. This time, we’re going to Jardin de Fiestas, which is a returning booth, but has LOTS of new menu items! Seriously, the menu is completely different from last year!
Jardin de Fiestas is located near the Mexico Pavilion, where we’ve been impressed with both the food and the drinks before. It serves up Mexican cuisine and unique margaritas!
Menu
With so many new menu items this year, you know we had to try them all!
Food
We started off with the Tostada de Cochinita which is priced at $7. This tostada is made with Braised Pork on a Crispy Corn Tortilla with Black Beans topped with Pickled Onions, Mango-Habanero Relish, and Oregano. We wanted this to be so good, but it fell flat for us. The tostada had a nice crunch to it but sadly it was topped with a pile of greasy bland flavors.
Next up, we tried the new Taco Vampiro for $7.25, which is made with Braised Beef on a Corn Tortilla with Crispy Grilled Monterey Jack Cheese and Salsa Ranchera. The taco was the highlight of this booth for us food-wise. The meat was filled with flavor but it also could have used a bit more seasoning — a general theme to the food here. Mexico, what did you do with all your flavor?
This booth also has a plant-based option: Sope de Chorizo. The dish is made of Plant-based Ground Chorizo on Fried Corn Dough with Black Beans and Avocado Mousse!
We would wrap everything inside this corn dough if we could, it is seriously delicious! But, we can’t say the same for the avocado mousse though — the flavor was very tart which wasn’t our favorite. This plant-based dish costs $6.75.
Drinks
Of course, we had to try the new margarita flavors, too! The Passion Fruit Margarita is made with Corazón de Agave Blanco Tequila, Passion Fruit Purée, Lime Juice, Nixta Corn Liqueur, and a hint of smoke with a Hibiscus Flower Salt Rim for $12.50. We thought this one was a winner! The drink is nice and sweet but you can also get some fruity notes that have a smokey and flower-like taste to them.
Since it is the Flower and Garden Festival, this booth created The Garden Margarita. The drink is made with Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, Lettuce Juice, Ancho Reyes Chile Verde Liqueur, Lime Juice, Gracias a Dios Agave Gin, and a Sprig of Thyme for $12.50. And, this one was odd. We could really taste all the vegetables that they blended into the drink — kind of like when you try to hide the veggies in a shake for your kids. But, if you like veggies with a side of booze then this is one to try!
The last item we tried from the booth is the Tulum Mexican Craft Beer with Floater that is Artisanal Lager with Citrus notes made with Caribbean Seawater and served with an Elderflower Liqueur Floater. This one was our favorite of the three drinks from this booth! We really enjoyed how the Elderflower floater paired with the flavors of the Tulum beer. We will be back for more of this one!
The 6 ounce version is $6.50, and the 12 ounce version is $11.75.
Overall
That’s all we’ve got for the Jardin de Fiestas booth this year! Overall, we weren’t overly impressed with the updated menu, but it is still a festival staple that is worth checking out if you have a hankering for some Mexican eats! We’ll be making our way around the festival, so stay tuned for more full booth reviews!
