If you’re like us, you’ve likely found yourself throughly entertained by (and also extremely confused by) each episode of WandaVision.

Is Wanda really in control? What’s actually going on here? And, the age old question, is it Mephisto?! But, if you’re wondering just HOW popular WandaVision is, fans have just proved how much they love the series considering they basically crashed Disney+ to watch the new epsiode!

Each new episode of WandaVision releases on Disney+ at midnight PT on Fridays. While some of us might wait until Friday evening to catch the new episode (and try REALLY hard to avoid spoilers until then), many dedicated fans stay up until midnight and watch each new episode as soon as it’s released. And that’s just what happened in the early hours this morning.

But it seems the sheer number of people tuning in to see what’s going on with their favorite characters in Westview was a bit much for Disney+ to handle. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney+ experienced problems early Friday morning as viewers rushed to watch WandaVision. According to the New York Post, these issues with Disney+ were experienced by some users in the US, Canada, and UK.

The Hollywood Reporter shares that Downdetector, an outage tracking website, reported a big spike in user-submitted issued with Disney+. The user-submitted issues rose from 0 to OVER 8,000 just after midnight. There were also reportedly thousands of tweets posted at that time about the outage.

Many viewers were able to stream the episode just 10 to 15 minutes later, however. So, it seems the issues were short-lived.

According to Looper, the Season 2 finale of The Madalorian crashed Disney+ momentarily, but we’re not even at the season finale for WandaVision yet, so that just shows you how popular it is.

So far, we’ve tried a WandaVision frappuccino, checked out the new WandaVision MagicBand, visited a retro WandaVision photo op in Disneyland Resort, looked at some cool WandaVision pins, and even shared a look at some new tees fans can snag to show their love of the show.
