Enjoying the typical restaurants, rides, and shops in Disney World is great. But, if there are limited-time events, you’ll want to make sure you know about those and can take advantage of them before they’re gone.

Disney Springs
Recently, we saw lots of limited-time deals announced for Valentine’s Day. And now another limited-time event is coming to Disney Springs, but this one is for whiskey fans.
Recently, The Polite Pig shared via Instagram that guests can join them as they raise a glass in celebration of Bottled in Bond Day on March 3rd at 5PM.

What is Bottled in Bond Day, you ask? Well, according to the Bottled in Bond website, on March 3rd, Congress passed the Bottled in Bond Act. The Bottled in Bond site says this was a “hard-won victory that gave honest-to-goodness whiskey an indisputable mark of authenticity.” The Act was promoted to ensure consistency and quality in bottles of whiskey.

In order to be labeled “Bottled in Bond” a whiskey actually has to meet several requirements. That whiskey must be:
- The product of one distillation season, from either January to June or July to December;
- Aged in a warehouse for at least four years;
- Bottled at 100 proof (U.S.); and
- Include the distillery at which it was made and bottled on the label.

So, on Bottled in Bond Day, whiskey fans celebrate the Bottled in Bond Act, and the “age-old tradition of making real bourbon whiskey, the hard way.” They also celebrate Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr., who the Bottled in Bond website calls the “Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry” and his role in leading the charge on the Bottled in Bond Act.

There’s even a special toast to celebrate. So, if you love a bottled-in-bond whiskey, it sounds like this would be the perfect celebration for you.
The Polite Pig has said that more information regarding their celebration of Bottled in Bond day will be coming soon. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates and let you know what we spot!
