We’ve been hanging around Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort a lot lately.

Between refurbishment going on at the monorail station, in the resort, and at the pool area, there’s been plenty to watch! And when we stopped by Barefoot Pool Bar to check out the new costumes, a Cast Member was kind enough to whip us up an off-the-menu drink.

According to the Cast Member, the Parrot Passion was actually a super old menu item from the ’70s and ’80s. Barefoot Pool Bar stopped officially serving it over 20 YEARS ago, but we got to try it again today! It’s made with amaretto, creme de banana, pineapple juice, orange juice, and a floater of cherry brandy. Then, it’s garnished with a pineapple wedge and cherry.

This drink REALLY made it feel like summer. It’s the perfect poolside sip! We loved the bright color and sweet taste.

But be warned: it’s very fruity. We could totally see people sucking these right down! If you love tropical drinks, you’ll definitely want to give this a try.

It costs $13.75! If you want to try it yourself, head over to Barefoot Pool Bar and ask for a Parrot Passion. Remember that it’s not on the menu — but if you ask, you should be able to get your hands on this retired drink! As always, stay tuned to DFB.
