It feels like just yesterday it was New Year’s Eve, and now it’s already almost February!

Walt Disney World Gateway
Things are constantly changing at Disney World, and February of 2021 will be no exception. From new treats and refurbishments to a brand NEW exhibit, here are some of the biggest changes coming in February!
1. New Treats
Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away, and we’ve already started to see some special treats released for this holiday. But, a whole bunch of other ones (including some returning favorites) will be released in February. The Royal Majesty cake pop will be back in Magic Kingdom…

2. Refurbishments
During February, a number of things will also go under refurbishment. Over at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, the Hippy Dippy pool will be closing for maintenance in mid-February. The Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will also undergo refurbishment that month.

So, if you’ll be staying at any of those resorts, be sure to keep those refurbishments in mind.

3. Extended Park Hours
One of the most important things you’ll want to continually monitor as your trip to Disney World gets closer are those park hours. Park Hours can change, so it’s important that you know how long you can have at each of the parks to take full advantage of your day(s) there. So far, we’ve seen some hours extended in early February.

Again, keep in mind that these are subject to change. But, if you’ll be visiting during early February, make sure you take a look at the hours to best plan your days in the parks.

4. Festival of the Arts Ending
Another change that will come in February has to deal with EPCOT’s festivals. Currently, EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts is going on. The Festival is only scheduled to run through February 22nd, however. After that, the schedule will close to make way for the Flower & Garden Festival, which will begin in March.

So, if you’re planning to visit EPCOT during February and you want to make sure you see the Festival of the Arts, be sure to visit before it closes.

5. Soul of Jazz + Black History Month Celebrations
Recently, Disney announced that a NEW exhibit inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Soul will be coming to The American Adventure in EPCOT. The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure will take guests on a musical tour across America, including stops at New Orleans, Chicago, New York City, and more.

Soul of Jazz
The exhibit officially opened on February 1st, so guests can visit the American Adventure pavilion right now and check it out. Each of the jazz hubs featured in the exhibit have their own board on the walls discussing their spot in jazz history, and some of the famous musicians that brought jazz to these cities. You’ll even be able to see how jazz feeds into the music of some famous musicians like Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

February is Black History Month and Disney is inviting guests to “Celebrate Soulfully” with all kinds of special events. During February, you’ll get to enjoy some musical performances on Motown Mondays, Jazz Thursdays, and Smooth Sundays at Disney Springs. There will also be four new art displays in Disney Springs inspired by Soul and created by emerging Black artists.

Disney Springs
If you’re looking for more new snacks, restaurants in Disney Springs will be offering special menu items, like treats inspired by Soul and The Princess and the Frog at Amorette’s Patisserie. After you eat all of those delicious treats, you can shop around the stores that will be highlighting products from Black designers, artists, and visionaries.
