From tomato margaritas to a decidedly Not-So-Old-Fashioned, La Cava del Tequila has proven to be one of the most adventurous places to drink in Disney World! Especially for tequila and mezcal-lovers, this bar in the Mexico Pavilion is absolute paradise, usually pouring something new and exciting!

Today, in honor of the ninth anniversary of a mezcal distillery, La Cava is pouring out super special — and SUPER adventurous — shots!

The distillery, Mezcal Gracias a Dios, is from Oaxaca, and Disney is raising a glass to their anniversary by offering $9 pours of their special edition Ensamble mezcal, which we’ve tried before on other special occasions!

For that price, the shot also comes with an orange slice and a smattering of crispy-crunchy seasoned grasshoppers!

Hear us out: they’re actually not as scary as they sound! If you close your eyes, you can almost pretend they’re chips!

The saltiness of the grasshoppers, and the juicy tartness of the orange, help even out the strength of the mezcal, which is STRONG.
