If you’ve been in Walt Disney World this week, you’ve surely noticed that the crowds are pretty hefty!
We’ve seen crazy long lines for attractions, large groups of people everywhere we go, and even 3-hour waits for cookies! We expected things to be busy the week after Christmas, but now we’re beginning to understand just how crowded it could get, even with capacity limits. And the crowds aren’t going anywhere yet. Let’s take a look at the Park Pass availability for New Year’s Eve!
For theme park ticket guests, the only park available for today is EPCOT, while New Year’s Eve is completely booked up!
Availability is the same for Disney Resort guests, so we can likely expect pretty big crowds in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios today, as well as all four parks tomorrow.
Passes for Annual Passholders are also filled up for New Year’s Eve. If you’re local and you want to visit EPCOT today, we suggest you hurry and book that reservation, because it’s the last one left!
Taking a look at New Year’s Day, it seems as though theme park ticket guests only have openings at EPCOT. Much of January is still open, but those first few days are filling up quickly.
We notice a very similar theme with Disney Resort guests going into the new year. It’s EPCOT only for New Year’s Day, and there’s open availability for January 6th and onward.
As for Annual Passholders, the weekends are beginning to fill up for the month, and EPCOT is also the only park available on January 1st here. If you want to experience the return of Park Hopping but you haven’t made your Disney Park Pass reservation, it looks like you’ll be starting your day in EPCOT!
Remember this is subject to change and more reservations for fully booked days could become available again. We’ll keep an eye on these reservations going into January and 2021, and we’ll especially be checking to see how things change with the return of Park Hopping in a few days.
