Kali River Rapids Added to Disney World’s Refurbishment Calendar

Hellooooo, we’ve got a Disney World refurbishment update!

Last week, we spotted that hours had disappeared for Kali River Rapids in January potentially suggesting a refurbishment closure. Now, Disney has confirmed that this Animal Kingdom attraction will be closing early next year!

UPDATE: Kali River Rapids has been added to the official Walt Disney World refurbishment calendar as “Closed for Refurbishment” beginning January 4rd.

Previously, the ride was expected to close on January 3rd, but Disney has pushed the date back by one day. So, you can try to hop on it one last day before it closes for its refurbishment. This attraction typically closes in the wintertime for routine maintenance.

The refurbishment is currently listed through April 1st. If it sticks to these dates that will be about a three-month closure which is pretty typical for the winter closures of this ride.
