EPCOT has been busy all weekend long with guests heading to the parks for Christmas entertainment (and probably to melt over the two new Karamell-Küche cookies and returning Frozen 2 Sipper).

Although the park is a HOT spot for construction right now, we’re narrowing our focus over to the Italy Pavilion! After construction walls popped up in the area, we’ve seen permits filed by the Pantina Restaurant Group for the “La Gelateria” Gelato Cart. Last year, we got a hint of what was to come with the announcement that the cart would have 12 different varieties of gelato and sorbet, including gluten-friendly and plant-based flavors.
While Disney hasn’t announced this construction project happening in EPCOT, the construction in the Italy Pavilion has continued to move forward. The area is located off to the right of the pavilion, where construction workers have been working hard at the new project! According to the permit that we’ve seen filed for the Gelato Cart, the expiration date listed was on December 31st, 2021. Since work likely won’t be completed until the end of next year, we’ll continue to keep you updated on any changes for the upcoming Gelato Cart!
