Holiday Rice Krispie Treat? Check! Festive Cupcake? Done! Gingerbread cookies? Delish! It’s not even December yet, but we are already making our list of ALL the holiday treats around Disney World and checking it twice to make sure we try all the tasty snacks!

A few days ago, we shared a whole list of festive treats that would be coming soon to the parks, and now we finally got to try a NEW cupcake with a surprise inside that JUST arrived in Magic Kingdom!

We’ll admit it, we LOVE a good holiday cupcake, and especially one with a surprise inside. So, when we heard about the NEW Twice Upon a Cupcake coming to Magic Kingdom, we just HAD to try it!

This treat is made of a confetti Christmas tree which sits on top of a vanilla cupcake with a red velvet hidden Mickey inside. A surprise treat inside AND a hidden Mickey?! Ummm…say no more, we’re SO there.

Here’s a look at the treat without the green wrapper on.

This treat is DEFINITELY one you’ll want to have your camera out for. It’s a holiday dream with that adorable Christmas tree on top and of course that hidden Mickey center! But, it’s not one you’ll want to just take a bite out of the way you normally eat a cupcake. If you want the real photo effect, be sure to cut it carefully right down the center so you can really see that hidden Mickey in all its glory!

And that hidden Mickey truly is glorious. The red has that distinct Mickey shape and really sticks out against the yellow of the rest of the cupcake.

But, is this treat all style and no substance? We say…NO! This treat was actually REALLY tasty!

Sometimes cupcakes in Disney World are just “okay,” but this is actually really good. There is a lot more cake than icing because the Christmas Tree on top is actually mostly funfetti cake, but we actually really like that.

The flavors are simple, but the cupcake is moist and delicious. Also, the red velvet part in the center has more of the consistency of a cake pop — a bit more thick and dense, so that was a nice texture change!

If you’re an icing > cake person, then this might not be your ideal holiday snack, but if you are okay with having slightly more cake than icing, this is a delicious and super fun treat!

If you want to grab the Twice Upon a Cupcake, you can stop by Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom and get one for $5.99. It’ll be available from November 6th through December 30th, so you’ve got plenty of time to snag this festive treat. Well, that’s another yummy treat checked off our list!
