Is the New Sally-Inspired Whoopie Pie All Looks and No Flavor in Disney World?!

We and Halloween treats are simply meant to be!

In fact, we recently heard about even MORE Halloween treats coming to the Disney World Resort hotels, and so you know that we had to check them out for ourselves!!

At Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, we came across a whole selection of treats themed after The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Of course, we HAD to try them all beginning with the Sally’s Stitched Up Heart-Shaped Whoopie Pie (that we had a first look at yesterday)!

We found this treat to be one of the cutest and sweetest we’ve seen this Halloween season! The fact that it’s heart-shaped AND has chocolate stitches resembling Sally’s dress scored some serious points just at first glance!!

We found the texture of the whoopie pie was super soft and so delicate! While we knew the icing was blue, we were surprised to find that the cake itself had a light blue color throughout.

At first bite, the first flavor we experienced was mostly ICING (not that we’re complaining!!). But despite that sugary first impression, surprisingly it wasn’t that rich! Upon further investigation, our best guess was the cake was a simple white cake, pretty much what you would find with a plain vanilla cupcake. A Cast Member later confirmed for us that white cake was indeed the flavor.

While we loved the look of the whoopie pie and how light it was, it was pretty basic in taste. But for someone looking for something sweet, simple, and light but with a little Halloween flair, this is a winner! You can purchase this sweet treat now for $4.99!
