We may not be able to get past those gates and onto the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Park right now, but…
…a new shopping event at Downtown Disney will soon let guests get all kinds of speciality merchandise celebrating Disneyland 65th Anniversary!
Ready to shop ’til you drop? Then you’ll definitely want to make a Disneyland Resort Shopping Reservation for a new special event that will be held August 31st through September 2nd in the former ESPN Zone in the Downtown Disney District.
Guests will have access to Disneyland Resort merchandise, including LOTS of 65th Anniversary limited edition pins.
Classic attractions like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and the Mad Tea Party have their own beautifully detailed anniversary pins.
Snow White’s Scary Adventures and Casey Jr. Circus Train also have special pins of their own.
And, of course, we couldn’t forget about Dumbo.
Other merchandise, other than just these featured pins, may also be available during the event. The products will only be available for a limited period of time before other merchandise is offered, so you’ll want to keep checking back on the Disneyland Shopping Reservations website to see what new items are being offered.
In order to get access to this special shopping event, you’ll need to make a reservation online at the Disneyland Shopping Reservations website. First, you’ll select the day on which you’d like to shop.
Then, you’ll select the number of guests for the experience. This event is limited to only 1 guest per reservation.
Finally, you’ll select what time you’d like to go. When we checked for availability on August 31st, it told us that no times were available, but be sure to keep checking back to see if more times open up on that date.
We were able to see that some times were available for September 1st and 2nd. The morning times, if available, run from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, wile the afternoon times are from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.
Once you select the time during which you’d like to shop, you can continue to the next screen to put in your credit card information and complete the reservation. If your plans change and you cannot attend the event, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card if you do not go to your reserved shopping time or if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled shopping time.
On your shopping day, there will be a check-in location at Downtown Disney’s ESPN Zone. Photo ID is required, and you should be prepared to also present the credit card you used to complete the reservation process and a reservation confirmation.
Merchandise may be limited, and purchases are limited to two per style per reservation. Each of the pins are $17.99 plus tax. If you want to go to this event, be sure to make your reservation soon before all of the times fill up!
