Ever since we caught a glimpse of the new Heimlich Loungefly Backpack that’s coming out soon, we’ve been thinking of ways to lure it to us!

And even though yesterday was Earth Day, today Disney is showing us how to create an insect-friendly garden right in our backyards!

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and help our 6-legged friends out! After all, It’s Tough to be a Bug! But all jokes aside, bugs do a lot for us humans, and we need them to survive! They’re super helpful with pollinating our flowers and crops, plus they even do the job for free. Well, minus a little nectar for their troubles!

But many of our best pollinator pals are losing their homes which means their populations are declining. Thankfully, there are plenty of inexpensive and easy ways you can lend them a helping hand! In the video below, Disney’s Conservation Manager Dr. Zak Gezo will show you how to attract, encourage, and nourish pollinators right in your own backyard!

Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund has donated more than $2 million in an effort to save butterflies! That’s a whole bunch of Heimlichs they’ve rescued, and we couldn’t be more grateful! Now that spring is here, pick up your trowel and start planting your own insect oasis to help save our bee and butterfly friends!
