Disney Cruise Line has announced that sailings scheduled to embark or debark from the Port of Vancouver, British Columbia have been cancelled though the end of June.
Though the Disney Cruise Line has only announced the suspension of sailings for the fleet as a whole for departures through April 28, 2020, the newly updated information specifically affects May and June departures on the Disney Wonder.
May and June sailings on the Disney Wonder kick off the ship’s Alaskan cruise season with departures from Vancouver. And this year, the Wonder was also slated for two Hawaiian cruise sailings, with the first departing from Vancouver and the second returning to Vancouver.
However, according to the latest update on the Disney Cruise Line Guest Services advisory page (from which you’ll see a screenshot below), “the Canadian government has announced that it will not allow any ship with more than 500 passengers to dock in any Canadian port until July 1, at the earliest. Given that we have not been able to secure an alternate homeport, it is necessary for us to cancel sailings scheduled to embark and/or debark in Vancouver.”
Guests will receive emails notifying of further steps to take regarding reschedulings and refunds.
Below, our final screenshot lists the previously suspended sailings on the Disney Wonder along with the newly added suspended sailings.
Note that, at this time, Disney Cruise Line has not altered the European itineraries on the Disney Magic, which are scheduled to begin in mid-May.
As always, Disney reminds that the “the well-being of our Guests and team members” remains the top priority.
