… animal prints?! Sure, why not all three? Because when you’re in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, even the seasonal snacks get a bit of a wild twist!

The Valentine’s Day Cupcake makes its return this year at Restaurantosaurus in the park’s Dinoland, U.S.A.! A chocolate cake base is topped with pink strawberry buttercream and dusted with chocolate pearls and candy heart sprinkles. The whole thing is further topped with a chocolate-covered strawberry.

And we were thrilled to receive a little surprise — based on what we were expecting from the menu picture — with our strawberry covered in edible animal print!

The theme continues a bit more with the tiger-inspired cupcake wrapper on the bottom.

The chocolate cake is super moist and delicious.

Meanwhile, the large strawberry on top is pleasantly fresh and covered in good quality chocolate. It’s like two desserts in one!

We’re especially glad for the fruit because the light and creamy pink buttercream didn’t carry a pronounced strawberry taste; we could really only pick up a hint of it eating a bite of icing by itself. But the strawberry on top totally delivered to make this cupcake a terrific twist on that classic chocolate-and-strawberry combination.

Okay, so maaaaybe the super fun-and-kitschy Restaurantosaurus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom isn’t exactly the first place you think of when it comes to options for celebrating Valentine’s Day in Walt Disney World. But this treat has changed our minds about that! (And, for the record, you can find it at Creature Comforts, too!) At $5.99 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit), it’s a solid Valentine’s Day snack that has stolen our hearts.
