We’re livin’ la belle vie at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts in Disney World!
It really is a wonderful day in Epcot as we take you LIVE with us to snack and sip around the World Showcase! It’s hard to not think of food as an art with all the gorgeous and delicious dishes we’re seeing today, like the Rose Panna Cotta and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake. Buuut, now we’re giving you a taste of one of the greatest cuisines in the WORLD at the France Pavilion!
The L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise (or “The Art of French Cuisine”) really makes food look like a masterpiece at this year’s Festival of the Arts. And, we are eating them ALL!
While there are some new items, there are a few returning items from last year on the menu, including the Moelleux Aux Chocolats Valrhona ($7).
The Molten Chocolate Cake is made with Pure Origin Valrhona Chocolates (which is a great treat for all you chocolate lovers out there!).
The Crème de Brie en Petit Pain (one of our 2019 Festival FAVES) has also returned again for the festival with its warm creamy Brie in a House-made Bread Bowl for $7.75. How dreamy does that cheese look? IMHO, very dreamy.
Buuut, the rest of the menu is is full of NEW items! First up, we tried the Tomate Farcie Faҫon Paul Bocuse ($7.50). This hefty and high-brow dish is a Tomato stuffed with Braised Ribs Paul Bocuse-style!
Although we were really excited to try this, we have to say that there wasn’t much flavor. The tomato wasn’t very juicy and the beef didn’t have much seasoning. We think that if there had been a bit more spice, it would have been super tasty, though!
Yet, the Trio de Macarons packed plenty of fruity flavors to make up for it with an assortment of Three House-made Macarons in an adorable gift box for $9!
The macarons at the France Pavilion have been a favorite of ours for YEARS, and they just keep getting better and better!
The trio this year features Lime…
…Strawberry…
…and Chocolate macarons (all of which are crunchy, sweet, and wonderful!).
Of course, no celebration of French cuisine would be complete without a renowned cocktail and some wine! The mixed drink at this studio is a Frozen French Martini made with Grey Goose, Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, and POG Juice (Pineapple, Orange, and Grape) with a Lemon-Lime Foam ($14).
Along with those macarons, the Frozen French Martini is extremely delightful. While it’s slightly sweet, it doesn’t have too much overwhelming fruity flavor! Honestly, it’s so refreshing that we almost want to just relax at the France Pavilion and sip on three of these. BUT, we have more booths to share with you! ;D
Oh, and did we mention that there was wine?! We especially loved the French Sparkling Wine, which is a crisp and tasty Veuve du Vernay, Brut N°1, Limited Edition ($7.50).
All in all, we thought the eats and sips at L’Arte de la Cuisine Francaise this year were très délicieux! It only makes us more excited to make our way to the other Food Studios around the World Showcase and beyond.
We’re LIVE from the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts so you don’t miss a beat!
