You know those great boozy drinks that don’t even taste like alcohol?
Well, we’ve got a treat for you, friends! Disney California Adventure is giving us MAJOR nostalgia with the newest alcoholic drink coming to the park!
You can relive your childhood as a grown-up with the Hard Float at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream!
You can customize your float with your choice of either a vanilla or chocolate ice cream bar in hard root beer, hard orange soda, or Guinness beer. While all the options sounded great to us, we took it back to the basics with a hard root beer float with a vanilla ice cream bar. (And, it was SO GOOD.)
The root beer itself didn’t taste like alcohol at all, so the buzz sneaks up on you. The ice cream bar doesn’t melt too fast or take up a lot of space since it’s pressed against the rim of the cup. We loved this idea because the creaminess of the ice cream dissolves more slowly into the root beer, balancing each sip.
Buuut, you can also pull the ice cream bar away to take a bite straight after a sip of the root beer! This makes each sip a lil bit thicker, which reminds us of a regular ole’ Root Beer Float! Since the Hard Float doesn’t have a strong alcoholic taste, it would be great for guests who like something on the sweeter side!
