Epcot’s exciting transformation is officially in progress!

As part of the ongoing construction that will reimagine Future World, some fan favorites are facing some inevitable changes.
Mouse Gear has always been THE spot to go to in Epcot for their extensive collection of Disney merchandise. It’s the largest gift shop in the entire park!

Sadly, the doors here have closed for a lengthy refurbishment.

The windows of the former Mouse Gear are covered up in plastic so we won’t get a peak just yet of the magic they are working on inside!
While the OG Mouse Gear may be closed up, fret not! If you’re looking to grab some ears, spirit jerseys, keychains, and more, a temporary location has been set up just across the breezeway inside Innoventions East (over on the side closest to Test Track and Mission: SPACE, if you need your bearings), also the former home of Colortopia. Let’s take a peek!

We’re tickled to see that the “Head Gear” sign has made its way to this location.

No longer an immense sea of Disney swag that the original location was, the temporary shop is about half the size of its former self.

The temporary home lacks the overall theming of the former, but we’re happy to say we’re impressed with the sheer volume of merchandise still available!

Life isn’t all that ruff here! We’ve found many of our recent favorite collections as well.
We have a feeling guests will be pretty satisfied with this temporary location, and we can’t WAIT to see what the new Mouse Gear looks like! We’re hoping for a classic Epcot retro look!
