We think Disney theme parks are pretty spectacular, but there are a few things that can make the Disney Parks experience even MORE exciting! We love our MagicBands (despite the ordering glitches!) and Mobile Order, but today we want to talk to you about the Play Disney Parks App.

Play Disney Parks App

This app allows you to earn different achievements by participating in attraction-themed activities on your phone. That’s pretty cool on its own, but wouldn’t it be even cooler to earn commemorative pins for your achievements?

Disney previously introduced pins to commemorate your digital achievements, and now they’ve released three NEW pins!

Mansion, Pirates, and Star Wars lovers — listen up! These new pins feature a High Seas Scallyway from Pirates of the Caribbean, a Hitchhiking Ghost from Haunted Mansion, and a Star Tourist from Star Tours — The Adventures Continue.

So how can you get your hands on these special attraction pins? Well, you first need to download the Play Disney Parks app to your phone. Then, log in and turn on your Bluetooth and Location Services.

Next, ride the attractions that have achievements and earn them while waiting in line. Once you’ve done this, all you’ll have to do is show your accomplished digital achievement screen to a Cast Member and you’ll be able to purchase your commemorative pin! (Purchase?! Boo. But, yeah.)

Disneyland Resort

The Pirates and Mansion pin can be purchased at Pieces of Eight in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square. And the Star Tours tourist pin will be available at The Star Trader in Tomorrowland. All three pins can be found at Westward Ho Trading Company in Frontierland.

Walt Disney World

If you’re in Disney World, you can find the Haunted Mansion pin at Memento Mori and the Pirates Pin can be found at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar in Magic Kingdom. The Star Tours pin can be purchased at Tatooine Traders in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Or you can find the entire collection at Frontier Trading Post in Magic Kingdom.

Supplies may be limited, so if you want to grab one of these pins we recommend doing so sooner rather than later! Note that you may purchase one pin per achievement per account.
