First off: a warning. The handle of the basket is chocolate. And as it often the case with chocolate garnishes on cupcakes, it melts fast in the heat. All that’s to say you need to get your pic for the ‘gram ASAP. 😉

Other garnishes include those ubiquitous crispy pearls that adorn just about every Disney dessert these days. The flowers are vanilla buttercream and are simply piped on (no sugar flower work here).

There’s a bit of edible glitter on the flowers, too. April showers, perhaps? The flowers top a decent amount of bright yellow buttercream.

If you’re frosting-averse, don’t necessarily skip this cupcake, though. Inside is a wedge of vanilla cake propping up that buttercream, so it’s not as overwhelming (or awesome, if you’re a frosting fan!) as it appears. But actually, this cupcake is packed with lemon curd, which brightens up the entire thing and more than makes up for the slightly limited frosting.

The lemon curd is the star here! I’m loving that we’re seeing it inside so many cupcakes lately! And the flowers and citrus in this seasonal delight make it the perfect option for a Springtime treat. We’d pick this bouquet again!
