The Lunar New Year Celebration in Disney California Adventure Park will expand to 17 days in 2017!

Running from Friday, January 20th through Sunday, February 5th, the Festival will offer live performances throughout the Paradise Garden area, extra activities and decorations, special merchandise, and Disney characters — Mickey and Minnie, Mulan and Mushu — all dressed up to celebrate the Lunar New Year!

It will also feature additional food offerings by way of three new Asian Marketplace Booths. These will serve items inspired by the cultures of China, Korea, and Vietnam — the countries which traditionally celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Finally, there will be a 6-minute pre-show to each evening’s presentation of the World of Color nighttime spectacular. Entitled “Hurry Home,” it will tell the story of a Little Lantern journeying home to join its family for the Lunar New Year celebration using water, animation, and other special effects.
