For the past year, Disneyland’s Village Haus has been occluded by the Red Rose Taverne overlay that was designed to celebrate the release of the live-action Beauty and the Beast. And there’s no end in sight for the takeover, as now Red Rose Taverne has a brand new breakfast menu! (Oh, and in case you’re wondering, it’s pretty much the only breakfast game in town besides Jolly Holiday, now that Rancho del Zocalo is back to only lunch and dinner.)
Holiday Eats at Disneyland Resort
Visions of Sugarplums (and much more!) sure are dancing all around Disneyland for the Holidays!
I mean, you didn’t think all the Holiday Snacking was limited to the Booths at the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure, did you? Of course not! There are festive treats galore all over Disneyland Resort, available now through January 7, 2018!
Cookies, Crispies, Cotton Candy, and Coffee
Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Disneyland hotels are full to the brim with sweet snacks like Gingerbread Man Cookies and Snowman Shortbread Cookies.
Disneyland Halloween Eats and Treats!
It’s (almost) Halloween Time again at Disneyland Resort!
And you know what that means… ghoulish goodies and creepy confections will be haunting the parks! From September 15th all the way through the big day — October 31st! — keep an eye out for all the extra spooky selections!
You’ll be able to scare up treats just about anywhere you go! Candy Kitchens such as the Candy Palace in Disneyland and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure will bring back the Jack Skellington Apple!
Jack couldn’t resist bringing along a couple of his pals… the classic Minnie Witch Apple and the Poison Skull Apple. [Read more…]

Review: Red Rose Taverne Beauty and the Beast Restaurant in Disneyland
It’s happened! Our very first visit to Red Rose Taverne is in the books!!
“What’s Red Rose Taverne?” you ask? It’s a pop-up restaurant — Disney style! An homage to all things Beauty and the Beast — just in time for the feature film to hit theaters in less than a month.
And instead of going to the trouble and expense of building Belle/Beast/Gaston their own place, those clever Imagineers decided to borrow Pinocchio’s digs for a bit. Yep — if you’re looking for Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland, head to the spot where Village Haus is in Fantasyland and you’ll find it!
As you can guess, this is a temporary situation. So intrepid Dining in Disneyland expert Heather Sievers didn’t waste any time getting there to try — well, pretty much everything on the menu.
Atmosphere
See? It works. It’s not much of a stretch to think you’d find this medieval-esque building in a small, provincial town in France, mais oui? Clever types will note the sides of the Village Haus Sign peek out from beneath the Red Rose Taverne banner. And note that even though, Miss, this is France, Minute Maid is still the sponsor. 😉
And now, we get to play a fun little game that I like to call Who Is Paying Attention to the Deets? In this archway at the entrance, you usually find Pinocchio being escorted right into trouble by Gideon and Honest John. A red curtain conveniently transforms the space. [Read more…]

News: Menu and Opening Date Revealed for Beauty and the Beast Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland!
Recently we let you in on an upcoming Disneyland special dining experience: for a limited time, Village Haus in Disneyland is being transformed into the Beauty and the Beast-inspired Red Rose Taverne. And now we know: it’s opening THIS FRIDAY!!!! February 24!
Don’t worry: Village Haus isn’t being permanently evicted (just locked in the East Wing for a while). The Red Rose Taverne overlay is a limited time affair. In the meantime, we are so, so, so excited that the March 17 release of the live-action BATB is prompting so many cool tie-ins (like the gorgeous Belle-inspired cupcake that’s made an appearance on both coasts)! If you need us, we’ll be tying our napkins ’round our necks, cherie.
So when Disney Parks Blog released the menu for Red Rose Taverne, we just had to take a glance. It’s our duty. And we take it very seriously. Mrs. Potts-making-tea-for-her-guests seriously.
Limited Time! “Beauty and the Beast” Dining and Snacks — and The Grey Stuff! — Coming to Disneyland
Do you have March 17th circled in rose-red for the premiere of the live-action Beauty and the Beast film?
If you’re among those eagerly awaiting the movie’s release (like us!), and you happen to have an upcoming trip to Disneyland planned, too, then you’ll definitely want to know about some limited-time eats and treats coming to Disneyland soon!
