We’re heading into the World Showcase at EPCOT today to try out the newly reopened Nine Dragons Restaurant!

Despite being the main sit-down dining option in the China Pavilion, Nine Dragons is a lesser-known dining spot in EPCOT. Now that it’s back open, we’re checking out the food to see if you should take time out of your EPCOT day for a meal here or just wait to get your Chinese Food fix with takeout at home!
Nine Dragons in the China Pavilion of EPCOT is a table-service offering that features a wide range of cuisines, serving up Cantonese, Mongolian, Szechuan, Hunan, and Kiangche-style dishes. It’s not exactly a fan favorite, but we’ve enjoyed some of their offerings in the past!

EPCOT is an amazing park for food, even as many restaurants remain closed in the park.

Luckily, EPCOT is home to festivals that go almost year-round and rarely leave us wanting more when it comes to food. Right now we’re chowing down at the foodiest festival of all during our visits, the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! But we still miss those spots that aren’t opening until October. Well, good news! It looks like a World Showcase table service spot could return soon.
It may be hard to believe, but it has been a FULL year since the Disney World theme parks reopened following its four-month-long closure in 2020 [when this post was originally published]. It’s a unique anniversary many of us wouldn’t have predicted being faced with just a few years ago, but here we are!

Since then, a lot has changed — health and safety policies have been updated drastically to make face masks optional for most guests and Cast Members in many locations, and most social distancing measurements have also been lifted. For all of the things that HAVE returned to Disney World since the parks reopened, there are also a number of things that have STILL not come back.
When it comes to spicy food, most of us understand that there’s REAL spicy and…then there’s Disney spicy.

And of course, Disney’s version of spicy food is usually tamed down to appeal more to the masses. But there are still some places at Disney World where you can get the real deal — the kind of food that will have steam coming out of your ears and make you break out into a sweat.

We visited EPCOT yesterday to check out all of the latest changes and updates after the end of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. So, without further ado, here’s all the latest news in food, construction, and merchandise!

Since the International Festival of the Arts ended yesterday, we took a trip to the park today to check out some unique merchandise and try some snacks. And while we were in the China Pavilion’s House of Good Fortune buying wasabi chips, we noticed a discount on our receipt!
It’s hard to believe that almost seven months after Disney World reopened, there are still many restaurants throughout the resort that remain closed.

Many dining locations have reopened over the past few months, although we’ve also seen some reopen with limited schedules, as well as others that are only open on weekends.
We’re dropping in today with some juicy tips on how to make the MOST out of your Disney Dining.
We love to share our favorite tips for getting Advance Dining Reservations. But the thing is, we don’t ALWAYS have an ADR when we need one. There are plenty of kind of blah restaurants in Disney World that tend to always have dining reservations available…because they’re blah. 😉 Stick with these suggested spots and you’ll be firing on all cylinders!
Don’t worry friends we get it…you spend a lot of money to dine at Disney World and that LAST thing you want to have happen is for your food to be subpar or even worse…just plain awful.
