In a surprising turn of events — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is open in EPCOT!
This new attraction is part of EPCOT’s Transformation, and it’s a walkthrough, interactive experience detailing the water cycle in the world of Moana. We’ve seen Cast Member previews happen, followed by Annual Passholder and DVC previews, and now it’s open to the public as part of a soft open. We’ll tell you one thing — the people are excited to see this attraction!
EPCOT has been through a lot these past few years.
The massive EPCOT Transformation is slowly but surely heading towards completion, and today marks another major milestone. The newest attraction has been open for Annual Passholder and DVC previews over the past few weeks, but Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is officially (sort of!) open in EPCOT!
There are quite a few things coming to EPCOT before the end of 2023.
By the end of the year, construction will be complete on the massive park transformation, and we can’t wait to walk through the middle of World Celebration again! Further down the road, we’ll be getting CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, but first, we’ve got some new Moana-themed offerings. And now we’re heading to check one of them out!
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is set to welcome everyone into the new attraction in EPCOT within the coming weeks, and we can hardly wait.

On October 16th, 2023, guests will finally be able to experience EPCOT’s latest addition. We were lucky enough to attend a special preview of the new attraction, so we’re here to tell you what to expect when you finally get a chance to see it. It’s a different experience than a lot of Disney’s latest additions — here’s how!
