Some EPCOT rides have had some pretty insane wait times recently and we’ve seen heavy crowds from the holidays. January is normally a slower time during the year since most kids are in school and parents rarely want to take them out right after they get back from the holiday break, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t tons of news coming out of the park, and we’re here to cover it ALL!

We’ve seen some testing over at the new TRON ride in Magic Kingdom, the PeopleMover got a new sign, and we’ve even gotten 2023 booking information for the Star Wars Hotel. A lot is going on at EPCOT, lately! The 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is finally in full swing as the remaining food booths opened recently, and construction is chugging along on the park-wide EPCOT transformation, too. Today, we’re heading to EPCOT to bring you all the latest updates from this park!
If you’ve been to EPCOT recently, you may have noticed that there are construction walls seemingly everywhere. That’s because this park is undergoing a MASSIVE transformation that will bring new attractions, experiences, and more.

Parts of this transformation are already complete, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and some are still ongoing like the walkthrough attraction Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana and the new festival areas. Today, we’re heading to EPCOT to bring you an update on what’s going on and take a look at what’s new!

With the recent opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, along with ongoing construction projects like Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana and the new CommuniCore Plaza and CommuniCore Hall areas, EPCOT really is being transformed into seemingly a whole new park! While we still have a while before we’ll be able to experience many of these new projects, we’re heading to EPCOT today to see what’s new in food, construction, and merchandise!
