It’s that time! We’re headed to another Disney World restaurant reopening!
Most of Disney World’s restaurants have reopened by now, but there are still a few that remain closed. Today, we’re headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to check out the reopening of Jiko! We’ve already experienced other popular restaurants at this resort including Boma and Sanaa, but now it’s Jiko’s turn for the spotlight!
Space 220 is a long-anticipated, futuristic restaurant that’s opening in EPCOT on September 20th, 2021.

EPCOT is a treasure trove of dishes and drinks inspired by countries from around the world. If you’re looking to break away from burgers and chicken tenders of Disney World you can find some really stellar food.
One Pavilion positively brimming with flavorful food and drinks is the Mexico Pavilion. And that’s where we’re headed. But stop! We’re not going in the big pyramid. Nope, we’re headed waterfront to dine at this Pavilion’s SECOND, newer sit-down restaurant. For those of you interested in a little spice with a side of atmosphere, come this way!

The California Grill is a signature restaurant located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It offers sweeping views of the Magic Kingdom and a fine-dining menu. The restaurant reopened with a limited menu and we’ve seen this menu change twice since then. A few more changes have been made since our last update including the addition of rich desserts and new entrees!
Drum roll pleeeeeease: The Crystal Palace has officially reopened in the Magic Kingdom!
This fan-favorite table-service (read: sit-down) restaurant in Disney World used to be a huge draw for Disney fans. Winnie the Pooh and Friends greeted guests, and diners indulged in an all-you-can-eat buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
But as with so many reopened restaurants at Disney World, the dining experience at Crystal Palace has changed quite a bit. Buffet? GONE. Characters? NOPE. So with all the changes, is visiting the Crystal Palace still worth it? Here’s what we think!
It’s been over three months since Disney World reopened to the public after an extended closure. Over the past few months, Disney has been slowly reopening more resorts, restaurants, and experiences.
Most Disney restaurants have been limiting menus to adhere to the new safety regulations and shortages. We’ve been monitoring these changes while Disney adjusts to reopening under the new conditions. The Landscape of Flavors, Drop Off Pool Bar and Harambe Market are preparing to reopen. Meanwhile, the California Grill has been open for some time. All four menus have reflected changes on Disney World’s website recently.
Following Walt Disney World’s lengthy closure due to the global health crisis, Disney Springs, Disney World’s shopping and dining district, started welcoming back guests in May. Many of the district’s restaurants reopened in May while others followed suit throughout the last three months.
Three more restaurants reopened, The Edison, Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, and Enzo’s Hideaway, a couple weeks ago and we had a chance to check one out! We decided to pop into The Edison and see if anything’s changed since the closure. (Spoiler: A LOT has changed!) Step inside the steampunk speakeasy with us and see what it’s like now!
