It’s Cinco de Mayo! That means it’s party time (from home)!!
While we’re deciding which Disney cocktail we’re going to make to celebrate, you can also fill your day with laughter with some of the funniest signs we’ve ever seen.
Ever wanted to actually become a part of your own Star Wars story??
Disney World and Disneyland’s latest attraction, Rise of the Resistance, sets you off on a thrilling journey through a Resistance base, a Star Destroyer, and MORE as you try to escape the First Order! Although the parks may be closed and you can’t visit Galaxy’s Edge in person (miss you, Chewie), you can still travel to a galaxy far, far away from the comfort of your home!
It’s been over a month since the Disney Parks and Resorts have closed. But, honestly, it feels like an eternity!! ):
With Disneyland and other Disney parks closed “until further notice,” it’s hard to predict when we’ll finally be walkin’ down Main Street, U.S.A.. And, if we’re gonna get real, there are a lot of questions we just don’t have answers to right now.
There has been some talk about how to re-open theme parks and cruise lines and what safety precautions are going to have to be instated (just look at the new procedures Shanghai Disneyland is already taking). But while it’s still unclear when the parks will return to normal or even reopen right now, we wanted to chat about something that may brighten your spirits!
It’s always fun to whip up some Disney snacks at home when you’re missing your favorite park!
Along with doing some fun activities around the house, we’ve also been cooking up eats and treats like the Carrot Cake Cookie, DIY Dole Whip, Mickey S’more Cupcakes, and MORE. And, this Disney Food Blog reader, who happens to be a chef is making some extra magic in the kitchen!
There’s nothing like curling up with a warm blanket, a Disney movie, and a nice bowl of soup.
And, although we’ve been giving you LOTS of Disney recipes to make at home, this next one might become your family’s new go-to dish!!
Shortly after we saw the Disney parks shut their doors, we started to see stores, restaurants, and experiences across the country, like movie theaters, close down as well.
With distributors unable to theatrically release their content, some have turned to digital at-home releases instead. Is this a temporary trend out of necessity, or could Disney capitalize on this with their future film releases?
While we’ve been playing our Disney playlist on repeat all day, erryyyday missing the parks, you can feel like you’re right at home in Disney World’s latest virtual performance!
While we’ve been keeping up with all the celebrities reading to us and the Dapper Dans singing some hits, the Voices of Liberty from Epcot are joining in on the fun!
Today’s a VERY special day, friends!
Grab your party hats (or ears) because it’s Hollywood Studios’ 31st anniversary! And, while we are celebrating by taking you on a virtual walk through the park, now you can get a sneak peek inside Hollywood Studios today during its birthday!
Is it just me, or have you guys been making DIY s’mores over your stovetops at home? (Best late-night snack EVER!)
We love snackin’ on all that chocolate and marshmallow goodness when s’mores treats come to the Disney Parks. We’re talking about the yummiest S’mores Brownies, S’mores Donuts, and even ooey-gooey S’mores Cookies! And, you’re probably going to want to pull your baking dishes ASAP after you see this next s’mores Disney Recipe!
We’re taking some time to celebrate the “Hollywood that never was — and always will be.” Because TODAY is the 31st Anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort!
Can you believe it’s been 31 years since Hollywood Studios opened as Disney-MGM Studios on May 1st, 1989? (We can’t either!!) True, 31 years is not exactly a milestone, like the park’s big party for its 30th last year. (And it’s also true that, for now, we can’t celebrate in the park itself.)
Even so, we believe that — when it comes to Disney Parks — there’s ALWAYS something to celebrate. [Read more…]
