Disney World is working through a phased reopening. Some Disney Vacation Club resorts are set to open on June 22nd and the parks will follow next month. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will reopen on July 11th, and Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen on July 15th.
With the return of guests, Disney will need to bring back many of their Cast Members. Some workers have already been called back to staff the now-open locations in Disney Springs and in preparation for the reopening of some of the resort hotels. Now, according to the Orlando Hotel and Restaurant Workers Movement, even MORE Disney World workers are being called to return to work soon.
Select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will begin welcoming guests again on June 22nd.
And, along with the reopening of the hotels, many Resort restaurants (though not all) will be welcoming guests again as well. As Disney has been working to update the dining reservation system in response to new safety measures which will be implemented around the Resort, guests have been unable to make Advance Dining Reservations to book the restaurants which will be open to guests. Highlighting safety as the top priority, Disney’s reopening plans include new measures to protect both guests and Cast Members. Big news, everybody! We now know MORE about the return of our beloved Disney World restaurants!
Disney World theme parks are set to begin a phased reopening on July 11th, but at the end of this month, signs of guest life will begin returning to Disney World. Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will reopen on June 22nd. Now, Disney has released the list of ALL of the RESTAURANTS that will be opening that day!
Disney World began a phased reopening with Disney Springs on May 20th and plans to reopen their theme parks beginning July 11th.
Although Disney initially announced that their hotels would reopen alongside the theme parks, they later changed the wording on their website. As of now, only Disney World’s Disney Vacation Club properties and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are scheduled to reopen on June 22nd.
But now we might have a hint about which resorts and restaurants could be included in the next phase of reopening.
Now that Disney World’s theme parks have proposed a reopening date of July 11th and July 15th, several Disney World hotels have also confirmed they’ll be reopening starting in June for Disney Vacation Club Members.
The purchasing of park tickets and hotel reservations has been temporarily paused while Disney World prepares its new reservation system, but we did just receive an email from Disney with additional information for DVC guests.

This morning Disney World presented a proposal for a phased reopening of the parks starting July 11th.
Disney’s proposal included a lot of details about the expectations for reopening, but it did not touch on the reopening dates for resorts or Disney Vacation Club Properties.
