Oh, Hollywood Studios, why don’t you have more food options? We love Hollywood Studios, but sometimes we find ourselves trying to figure out where to eat. There aren’t a crazy number of restaurants, but we found one that might be your go-to.
Let’s eat at Backlot Express!
We headed to Backlot Express in Echo Lake to see if you should head here for your next meal in Hollywood Studios.
Hugh Johnston, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, said that The Walt Disney Company is investing in dynamic ticket pricing, and this approach could be making its way to the domestic parks in the coming years.

In 2022, Disney World introduced “surge pricing,” where ticket prices can vary by park and day. More popular dates had higher prices, and more in-demand parks saw an increase. Because of this, Magic Kingdom is the most expensive park on Christmas Day, for example. Dynamic pricing could be coming soon, so let’s see how this would change.
Did we just find a dupe for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Well, maybe not exactly, but we did find a few of the incredible snacks you can grab at Very Merry with that wildly expensive party ticket for much, much cheaper in Animal Kingdom. Hey, we love grabbing free cookies as much as you do, but if we actually think about the $190 we spent to get them, they start to taste a little different.

UPDATE: Zootopia 2 will debut on Disney+ on March 11th, 2026.
I don’t care that Zootopia 2 isn’t even in theaters yet. I’ve waited TEN YEARS for the sequel, and I’m already counting down the days until I can watch it at my own leisure on Disney+.

Christmas Tree Stroll
Some of the trees are inside the parks, like Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and require a park ticket, but others are at resorts, outside the parks, like Animal Kingdom, or at Disney Springs, so you can see them completely for free. We’re taking you with us to the Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs, which is where you’ll be able to see the most trees, all totally decked in Disney.
