That’s how we feel with a lot of Disney World news. If you’re a longtime Disney fan, you’ve likely noticed that Disney releases teensy bits of news at a time. That leaves us sitting on the edge of our SEATS for major announcements. Well, things felt nice and complete as we wrapped up the end of the week; we got THREE huge announcements and updates from Disney! Let’s talk about it.
Walt Disney’s promise was that Disneyland would NEVER stop growing and expanding.
Disneyland
DisneylandForward is Disneyland’s campaign to expand the parks to bring in new lands, attractions, ideas, and more. It includes a $1.9 billion investment plan to bring new things to the parks. Imagineers and executives have been fighting for these changes since March 2021, and it seems that we’re one step closer to the ✨ FUTURE.✨ A recent Anaheim City Council meeting allowed developers to share their ideas regarding expansion — and they even mentioned a NEW land. Now, the DisneylandForward website is reflecting some of those potential changes.
The hustle and bustle of the Disney World theme parks can be a LOT. That makes Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground a fan-favorite place to stay within the Disney magic while still being surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature.

Many folks are STOKED about The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, which are set to open on July 1st, 2024. These 350 (!!!) Disney Vacation Club cabins each sleep up to six folks and will provide a refreshed, modernized cabin experience to replace the former ones. We’d seen glimpses of the Cabins as well as concept art, but we hadn’t yet seen the nitty gritty. Now, though, Disney has changed that for us!

After booking your flight, you must then pack, plan, and fret over how soon you should arrive to the airport, whether you should drive or Uber, and whether or not you’ll check your bag. For a lot of folks, it’s the anxiety of finding a place to park that will allow them to make it on time for their flight. At the Orlando International Airport (MCO), a lot of folks chose to park at a shuttle-serviced lot. Now, though, those services are changing.
When you work at Disney World, you go to the parks pretty frequently. You start to get a little bit ✨ jaded.✨ Or, maybe, your eyes are just opened to things that you never notice as a theme park guest.

Yes, I’m talking about TikTok. While ever-changing social media trends have their cons, I LOVE them most of the time. Why? Well, because these trends highlight and spread positive topics, activities, hobbies, and MORE. Thus, more and more folks are able to appreciate those things and maybe even try something new. Social media is one of the ways that we share our love for Disney World, and we automatically love it when others do the same, as long as it’s done in a respectful manner. Well, social media (TikTok especially) has caused EPCOT to sort of be cast as the Disney Park that doesn’t necessarily give Disney vibes — meaning its for everyone. You’ll never guess which aspect of EPCOT non-Disney adults find the most appealing. 😉
