Disney Skyliner
Where else can you see thousands of people dispatched back to their hotels in a matter of hours (generally under 3)? They’ve got boats, monorails, buses, and the Disney Skyliner to get you to where you need to go. But there are a few mistakes that we’ve noticed people making over and over again. This seems to happen pretty frequently with the Skyliner, so we’re here to clear the air (pun intended).
It might be surprising, but Florida does get pretty chilly in the wintertime!

Cooler temperatures and high humidity make it feel even colder than it is, in the sunshine state. And sometimes you have to watch out for closures when it gets too cold. Even if you’re from a colder location, you won’t want to be in these Disney World places when the temperatures inch their way down towards freezing.
Movies are a big part of the Disney business.

Of course, we all love the parks and experiences, but Disney movies were the company’s foundation, and they continue to be one of the things they do best. 2023 saw several great movies and we anticipate a few more great hits in 2024. But one media analyst doesn’t have high hopes for the coming year.

With the low cost per share, shareholders have been unimpressed. But recently, Disney reinstated cash dividends as a way to build trust with investors. Amid the pandemic, Disney had removed the dividends, but now, three years later, they are back as a way to entice shareholders who have stock in the company. But was that the right move on Disney’s end? Some may not think so.

There is a lifelong debate when planning a trip to Disney World whether you stay on property, at a Disney World Resort hotel, or off property. But with a new family-focused, beach-front (yep, in the middle of Orlando!), billion-dollar resort opening, the choice becomes even harder! And for a billion dollars to build it, we would hope to find some pretty sweet accommodations there. Let’s take a look at what’s coming to the Evermore Resort!

Unfortunately, people across the country are seeing an increase in sickness. According to the LA Times, about 23% of people who participated in a text message survey in Los Angeles County have experienced “a cough or shortness of breath for the week that ended Dec. 10.” This is up 2% from the late summer surge of respiratory illness. During a lull in sickness, the percentage was only 10%. And COVID-19 numbers are higher now than they have been in other months, as well.
This surge is not secluded only to California, rates are higher everywhere. So here are some tips for how you can avoid getting sick on your Disney vacation.
Disney’s new park pass reservation rules have officially gone into effect, and with that has come a slight change to virtual queues.
TRON Lightcycle / Run
Now that people with date-based tickets do NOT need to make a park reservation, they are able to book a virtual queue for any ride with one in either park (Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, currently) at the 7AM drop. Currently, TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT are the only two rides with virtual queues. But will they be sticking around and could we see others join the lineup? Here are our thoughts.

This week is when we really start to see the crowds hit Disney World. Everyone celebrating the holidays is still visiting the parks, and now, those who want to be there to ring in the New Year are starting to join. We noticed a few not-so-subtle clues that indicate the parks are going to be busy today (and most likely the rest of the week)!
New Happy Meal toys were released today!!
McDonald’s
You know we’ve become big fans of McDonald’s Happy Meals (yes, we realize we are grown adults, but we are kids at heart!). We just can’t help ourselves when they come out with the coolest toys in the fun, red boxes. When they brought us Disney100 toys, we went on a spree to try to collect all 60 of them. And now, for the first time ever, they have come out with new Squishmallow Happy Meal toys! Yes, we RAN to McDonald’s today to make sure we got one.

If we could, we would live in Magic Kingdom in the castle suite with birds that drift in and out of our room singing us their beautiful songs. It would be a magical life right out of a storybook. And all the amazing food would be available to us 24/7 (catch us eating a Mickey pretzel at 4AM). Life would be good. Well, if you’re willing to move to North Carolina in the next few years, your dream of living in a Disney story could become a reality.
