There’s a new food location coming to Disney Springs! Last year, we learned that the ice cream chain Salt & Straw would open a new location in Disney Springs, offering guests a new way to grab a frozen treat in Disney World.

At the time it was announced, Salt & Straw shared that they were aiming to open in 2022 –– this year! And it looks like we’re closer to getting an exact opening date.
Remember last fall when Disney World dropped a TON of 50th Anniversary Celebration snacks? Well, some of those treats have gone away…but they’ve recently been REPLACED by some new treats!

There have been a few changes since our last update, so let’s dive right in and recap what there is to see and do at Animal Kingdom.

2022 is already shaping up to be a memorable year at Disney World! With the 50th Anniversary Celebration continuing all year long, we’re excited to see what new offerings are on the horizon (including some new attractions, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind).

For now, however, we’re heading into an exciting week for the week of January 9th: it’s the first week of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! Let’s dive in to see what the week will look like in terms of park hours and Park Pass Reservation availability.

While we’re looking forward to all of the delicious food and beverages around the festival, we are equally as excited for all of the fun merchandise.
This winter is shaping up to have several temporary ride closures at the Disneyland Resort. Already today we’ve shared the news that the Disneyland Monorail will close for at least a few weeks starting in late January, and The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will close for a few days next week.

In addition to those two temporary closures, another ride at Disney California Adventure will be unavailable for nearly two weeks, starting in late January.
Every once in a while, the rides and attractions in the Disney parks may need to close temporarily in order to perform routine maintenance so they can continue to operate in tip-top shape for years to come! Sometimes the closures only last for a few days, but sometimes they can last for a few weeks or even a few months, as is the case right now with Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Luckily, Disney typically updates their site well enough in advance that guests can find out if a ride will be closed ahead of their upcoming vacation. And it looks like another ride will be closed temporarily at the Disneyland Resort next week.
Four times each year, the Walt Disney Company releases its Quarterly Earnings Report, which is then followed by an Earnings Call. The Earnings Calls are typically hosted by CEO Bob Chapek and CFO Christine McCarthy and offer insight to the company’s fiscal health from the previous quarter as well as discussions (and sometimes a few exciting announcements!) about what’s to come in the near future.

The rides and attractions at our favorite Disney parks have to occasionally close for a period of time due to routine maintenance. Right now, for example, we’re experiencing a rather lengthy downtime of Expedition Everest over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
