According to the laws of nature, food is meant to be eaten, right? As extravagant or as Instagram-worthy a snack may seem, eventually, we have to face the music and, well…destroy it.

That said, how much would YOU be willing to pay for a food item that was intentionally meant to be totally demolished? Over at The Ganachery, that question was put to the test when we came across their newest holiday treat.

While some holiday snacks can be found in multiple locations around property, others are truly unique and can only be found in ONE spot! Case in point: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa serve one-of-a-kind treats EVERY year, and some of our favorites have returned!
Themed Entertainment Association, or “TEA”, recognizes theme parks, exhibitions, and themed experiences around the world each year with their annual Thea Awards. These awards represent “excellence, innovation and leadership in the creation of compelling places and experiences.”
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Disney is often recognized by TEA, and this year was no exception! Two of their newest attractions received Thea Awards, and we’ll be totally honest, we aren’t surprised!
After more than eight months, we’re once again strolling down Buena Vista Street as part of the latest expansion to Downtown Disney! While Disney California Adventure technically remains closed at this time, the shopping and dining district at Disneyland Resort now includes several shops and restaurants from inside the park boundaries!
Award Wieners
One of the biggest surprises ahead of the reopening was that Award Wieners, which typically serves their own assortment of hot dogs and our beloved Filmstrip Fries, would be serving the menu from Corn Dog Castle, which remains closed at this time.
While the weather in Southern California may still be warm these days, we can’t help but want every piece of merchandise from Disneyland’s new Silver and Gold collection! Maybe if we just PRETEND it’s snowing, we won’t feel so silly wearing all of this winter gear in 80 degree weather.

From scarves to beanies to spirit jerseys and even chic dresses, this collection has got you covered from head to toe in dazzling silver and gold! Just when we thought things couldn’t get cozier, we’ve come across the snuggliest pair of Minnie ears we’ve ever seen!
We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest limited edition MagicBands! If you’re into collecting unique Disney merchandise, this is a great way to rep your favorite characters, movies, attractions, and parks!
New MagicBand in the Norway Pavilion
Over at EPCOT, we came across a special MagicBand that celebrates the anniversary of one of our favorite Pixar films!
The holidays have arrived at the Disneyland Resort! Well, at least to the areas that guests currently have access to. While the theme parks remain closed, Downtown Disney is available for shopping and outdoor dining, and this Thursday, Buena Vista Street will also reopen!

When Buena Vista Street reopens next Thursday, November 19th, it’ll be the first time Disneylanders step food inside the parks in some capacity in over eight months! With the exception of the Stage 17 Backlot Premiere Shop, the parks have been totally off-limits as California is keeping its larger theme parks closed for the time being.

Besides the fact that we’ll be able to take in the sights and sounds of Buena Vista Street next week, there are some incredible returning FOOD items that are a HUGE deal to us!
