Although the Disneyland Resort theme parks cannot reopen under California’s current theme park guidelines, Disneyland recently announced that it would be opening Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park for some limited shopping and dining starting this month!
Red Car Trolley
Just yesterday we saw the Red Car Trolley in the park being worked on, and we were getting so excited just thinking about when we’ll be able to step past the gates at Disney California Adventure once again. And NOW we know exactly WHEN Buena Vista Street will be opening!

Disney California Adventure Park
With this “extension” of the Downtown Disney District, you’ll be able to enjoy some new and some returning menu items and holiday merchandise. Disney has also said to “stay tuned for more holiday happenings!” We’re not entirely sure what that means, but holidays + Disneyland = pure joy for us.

Important note: Beginning November 19th, there will be a $10 fee per car for parking at Downtown Disney District in the Simba Lot. Additionally, the number of guests visiting Downtown Disney District will be limited to promote social distancing, so that’s something to keep in mind. If Buena Vista Street or its queue reaches capacity, Disney may utilize the mobile wait list system (similar to the way they’ve used it at other stores in Downtown Disney) so that’s something to on the lookout for.
