Refurbishments are a fact of life at Walt Disney World, as more often than not at least a few rides and attractions at the resort will be done for work on a given day. This April is no exception, as 4 major Disney World attractions are currently scheduled to be down for the entirety of the month.
For just over five decades, Space Mountain has been the crown jewel of the Magic Kingdom and arguably the most famous Disney thrill ride in pop culture. Yet this marvel of ride design still holds some secrets within its intergalactic interior.
Space Mountain
The Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain, which is the first Space Mountain overall, opened at Walt Disney World in January of 1975. The revolutionary-for-the-time indoor coaster was an immediate smash, becoming the resort’s first true thrill attraction, and ushering in a new era for both Disney and the theme park industry overall. In the years since, versions have been built at Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland, and the name Space Mountain has become iconic in pop culture. Despite all of that, there are still some things many may not know about the iconic ride.
A mega-popular franchise is coming to McDonald’s as part of the Golden Arches’ latest Happy Meal promotion.

After dropping several teasers, such as those seen above, on social media, McDonald’s confirmed a promotion to tie into the April 4th release of the highly-anticipated film adaptation A Minecraft Movie. According to the chain, “Starting April 1, for a limited time, McDonald’s is entering the portal for an epic collaboration, and the meals are only the beginning. Fans can also take their creativity to the next level with access to digital experiences, custom-designed collectibles and much more – only at McDonald’s.”

Well, not really bad. We obviously don’t condone breaking any Disney World rules, EVER. Let’s be 100% clear there. However, sometimes at Disney World, there are things that *feel* like they should be against the rules — to the point of being fun to “get away with” — but are actually perfectly fine to do. In recent years, ALDI has become one of our FAVORITE places to shop. The quickly expanding supermarket chain offers everything from essential theme park items to toys to adorable home goods. Each week, we scour their newest listings, and they nearly never disappoint, especially when it comes to Disney items and theme park essentials! However, since ALDI doesn’t offer online shopping, we’ve also tracked down some equivalent items on Amazon for those of you without a geographically convenient ALDI location.

Epic Universe may only be in previews to Universal Team Members and their guests at the moment, but there’s one surprise attraction at the park that looks to be a bonafide surprise hit!

Universal’s newest park, which is set to open to the public on May 22nd, is stocked with a veritable smorgasbord of new and technologically advanced attractions, including Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Stardust Racers, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and Mine Cart Madness. However, during our preview experience in the park, the busiest line didn’t belong to a ride at all.

Disney World’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind continued to see their new standby queues change the fabric of Disney World’s wait times. In fact, the latter Marvel attraction took the top spot this week, being the only Disney World ride to break the 80-minute barrier.
