We had the opportunity to be one of the very first to experience Disney’s brand new – and first completely Frozen-themed – land; and we traveled all the way to Hong Kong to do it!

The Walt Disney Company is no stranger to criticism, but recently CEO Bob Iger participated in an interview on CNBC with David Faber to address a variety of recent topics that have been making headlines.

Magic Kingdom
During the interview on July 13th, Iger commented on The Walt Disney Company’s plans for the future and addressed some recent news, including the fact that Bob Iger is set to remain CEO through 2026. Here’s what Bob Iger had to say.

Oh, hi there. I appreciate you coming to read this and possibly deter me from making what I am absolutely CERTAIN is a monstrously horrible financial choice. Or is it…????
Disney keeps doing this to us — with the $79,000 Spaceship Earth and the clock that costs 2 grand — but those are pretty easy to resist, TBH. I don’t know about you, but if I have $79,000 it’s probably gonna go in my retirement fund. And $2,000 could get me one night (maybe) at the Grand Floridian…(LOL except it’s kind of true).
But THIS. This could potentially be within the realm of a “questionable but defensible choice” rather than a pipe dream, right? Check it out:
Yesterday we had a HUGE surprise when Pixar Place — that space where the Toy Story Mania entrance used to be back in the day, and which used to be called Municiberg — re-opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
It’s right on the way to Toy Story Land, and it’s now where you can meet Incredibles characters and Sulley from Monsters Inc.!
But the BEST part about Pixar Place in OUR humble opinion is…the Neighborhood Bakery! This tiny snack stand is the ONLY place where you can currently get Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookies in Disney World! (And believe me…you definitely want to get them.) And we’ve just spotted a BRAND NEW addition to the menu!

Surprise! A special area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios that’s been closed to the public has now reopened! And it looks pretty different!
The reimagined Pixar Place, located across from One Man’s Dream, and right before you get to the entrance of Toy Story Land, soft-opened today — ready for meet and greets and cookies!

Hi! You might think Disney World is all safety and not-getting-wounded, but I’m here to tell you that’s NOT ALWAYS TRUE! It is, in fact, rather common to get hurt in Disney World…at least in these three ways… .
SO MANY Disney fans have experience with these injuries, so we’re sounding the alarm and making sure YOU don’t make the same mistakes WE have…over and over again!
We’re headed to Magic Kingdom first, which may look all kinds of unthreatening. Those cute Main Street U.S.A. shops, fluffy characters, and magical princesses couldn’t possibly end in disaster could they?

OK OK OK don’t come at me I KNOW a lot of you are huge fans of Chuuby from Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland. In our WhatsApp thread for DFB there is HUGE LOVE for Chuuby, so heads up if you are a part of the Chuuby fan club!
He’s already got two pairs of ears that you probably have in your collection (these ones, and these ones), but a new pair of CHUUBY-CENTRIC ears have just dropped in EPCOT!
(OK he IS kind of cute, but maybe I’m still a little bit salty about Great Movie Ride.)
These new finds are the see-through ones that we’ve already seen online and in Disneyland, but it’s a first for us to see them in EPCOT.

I sat down this morning with Josh D’Amaro, the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, with some fellow writers and reporters for a Q and A, and he had strong thoughts on the future of the Disney parks.
Colloquially referred to as DPEP by Walt Disney Company insiders, D’Amaro’s silo is an arm of the Walt Disney Company that’s extremely profitable, and actually supplements the budgets for up-and-coming projects like Disney’s streaming services — which have lately seen huge losses to the tune of $1.4 Billion. And DPEP continues to thrive, with profits nearly doubling year over year. [Read more…]

Since the parks reopened, many Disney World fans have been waiting for the return of the dining plan.
Disney announced a while back that the dining plan would come back in the future, but didn’t reveal a date or timeline. We’re still waiting for its grand return, but in the meantime, it looks like Disney World will be featuring a DIFFERENT dining offer?! Let’s get into the details.
It has been QUITE A NIGHT! We’ve had so many fun announcements come out of the D23 Expo already — from updates on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to the unveiling of the new EPCOT statue of Walt, we’ve already had a blast and there’s so much more to come!
One BIG announcement was the opening of a brand new Tiana-themed store coming to Disneyland — Eudora’s Chic Boutique. And now we have an opening date!
Eudora’s Chic Boutique, according to the backstory, grew out of the huge success of Tiana’s Palace — a restaurant created by the Princess herself! This shop will sell a variety of accessories to create and serve New Orleans-inspired cuisine…including ingredients!
