June is a great month to be a Disney+ subscriber. In addition to all the perks you get just for subscribing, you also get access to some of Disney’s newest movies and content (yep, you can watch Hoppers and Avatar: Fire and Ash right now!).

Well, Disney+ just shared some details about a NEW show coming this June, and if you love supernatural stories, this one might just scratch that itch (it’s giving animated Stranger Things vibes). The show is called The Doomies, and the trailer for the series just dropped!
So what is The Doomies about? Well, it’s about two best friends, Bobby and Romy, who accidentally open a portal to evil (we hate when that happens!). That turns their quiet coastal town into a hotspot for monsters, aka “terrifying creatures of doom.” The teens have to explore the mystery of the portal and face off against their inner demons, as well as, well, real demons, in an “epic comedy that combines thrills, chills, and emotional spills.” Check out the trailer below:
The new animated series premieres on Disney+ on June 26th with 22 half-hour episodes, along with a short-form series featuring four episodes. The show stars Max Mittelman as Bobby, Madison Calderon as Romy, Noel Gibson as Kim, Jon Bailey as Doug, and Zehra Fazal as Jenny. The show is produced by Academy-Award nominated studio Xilan Animation and co-created by Andrès Fernandez, Pozla (aka Rémi Zaarour), and Henry Gifford. Fernandez directed all 22 episodes, with Marc du Pontavide as producer.
