Okay, admit it…who’s ready to fast forward through summer in Disney World and jump straight into fall? We certainly won’t judge ‘ya for it. That’s because fall brings Halloween season, and, honestly, it’s one of our favorite times to be in Disney World.
First, you get all the cool Halloween decorations and Halloween merchandise (we want one of EVERYTHING, please!). Then you’ve got the AMAZING fall and Halloween snacks to look forward to (and pumpkin spice!), along with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Speaking of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney World just dropped some big announcements for Halloween this year, and we’re going to go through every single one.
Dates
The first big news about this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the dates! This year’s parties will take place on select nights from August 7th to October 31st, 2026. Here’s the full list of dates:
- August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
- September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
- October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
The party usually starts in Magic Kingdom at 7 PM, but those with a ticket to the party can usually get in at 4 PM. Tickets go on sale on May 12th, but Disney World hotel guests can buy tickets on May 5th.
Attractions
Magic Kingdom’s rides will be available during the party, but three rides are going to be a little EXTRA and bring some Halloween vibes. Space Mountain will be running in FULL darkness with a soundtrack of spooky tunes, while the Mad Tea Party will get some special lighting effects.
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will be a trick-or-treat location that Disney promises will “scare up some smiles.”
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Disney World also revealed that Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular would return to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. This special fireworks show is hosted by Jack Skellington with appearances by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, who get “spirited away to a mysterious haunted house.”
There, they face dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts, and Disney Villains!
Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular
The special Halloween fireworks show isn’t the only entertainment returning to the party this year. The Sanderson Sisters are returning for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, where they try to use their wicked powers to cast a spell over all of Magic Kingdom.
During the show that includes dancing, singing, visual projections, and loads of fun, the Sisters conjure up some of Disney’s most famous Villains to help. The show takes place on the Cinderella Castle stage several times a night.
Dance Parties and Other Entertainment
If you want to dance the night away at the party, you’ll have several opportunities to do just that. This includes a brand NEW party hosted by Stitch, Lilo, and Angel at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland called A Masquerade with Stitch. The party will feature Stitch in a variety of costumes. In addition to this party, you’ll find other DJ dance parties in the parks, too, WITH more characters.
You’ll also be able to meet characters at Storybook Circus, including Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto. Meanwhile, the Cadaver Dans will be performing your favorite frightful songs in Frontierland.
Exclusive Food and Drinks
As always, you’ll be able to purchase exclusive food and drinks at the party, including:
- Minnie Witch Hat at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
- Bowl of Bones at The Friar’s Nook
- Buzzard Wings at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café
Many of Magic Kingdom’s quick service locations will also be open, as well as table service restaurants like Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and The Plaza Restaurant. The Pirates of the Caribbean-themed The Beak & Barrel will also be open during the party. Advance reservations for table service and The Beak and Barrel are required.
Finally, if you want to get a great seat for the fireworks, you can book a fireworks dessert party. These also require advance reservations.

Exclusive Merchandise
You’ll be able to buy exclusive merchandise at the party, too, including a spirit jersey, accessories, drinkware, home decor, pins, and more.
You’ll find this merchandise throughout Magic Kingdom, but note that you’ll only be able to get it while supplies last.

Costumes
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the only occasions where you can wear a full costume to the parks (as long as you adhere to the party’s costume rules).
Meanwhile, some of your favorite Disney characters will also be sporting costumes, so you’ll want to grab those photos because this ONLY happens at the party.
Photo Ops and Magic Shots
The party will also include exclusive photo ops and Magic Shots, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for Disney PhotoPass photographers.
Some photo ops will even include special props to make your photos look a little extra spooky.
