We have eaten at every restaurant in Disney World, but we aren’t stopping there! Even though we have dined everywhere you can dine at Disney World, we still revisit locations to try different items and provide our readers with the most up-to-date reviews. Just because a restaurant was good the first time, it doesn’t mean it will always be good. We always want to make sure you know the best places to dine at Disney World, which means keeping our reviews up to date!
We recently stopped by Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion in EPCOT to grab a bite to eat. Now we are bringing you our full review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
You can find Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie tucked away in the back of the France Pavilion in EPCOT. However, even though it is slightly tucked away, it is a popular dining spot, and you will likely find a line here!
The line can look a bit intimidating sometimes, but it usually moves pretty quickly, and we think it is worth the wait.
The line will loop around and take you by all the display cases filled with a lovely assortment of items. It is a quick-service restaurant, so you will order your food at the counter, then find your own seating. There is a seating area right outside the line area; however, during busy times, it can be hard to find a table here. Of course, you can also take your food with you and grab a seat or table somewhere else.
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is a favorite here at DFB. You can satisfy a sweet tooth with fresh pastries and desserts, select from a variety of sandwiches, or even grab an entire baguette to go. Even if you get in line for one item, we usually find ourselves finding other items along the way, too. All the yummy items are so hard to resist!
Let’s take a look at what is on the menu!
Menu
There are many options at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie! A lot of times, we like to let our eyes do the shopping as we browse the display cases, but that can also feel a bit overwhelming. Here is a look at the menu, starting off with sandwiches and specialties.
You can also choose from viennoiseries (French baked goods), tartes, and other desserts.
There are also plenty of beverage options, including wine and beer.
Also, keep an eye out for additional signs on the counters for other specials. While we were here, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie was still offering the giant Croiss-Oh-La-La and the Bear Shaped Chocolate.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Pissaladiere for $6.95. This features goat cheese, onions, herbs, and parmesan. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to food, and the Pissaladiere is a great example. While it might not look like it will knock your socks off at first glance, this item packed way more flavor than we gave it credit for!
The goat cheese is the star of this dish (so if you aren’t a fan of goat cheese, you may want to opt for something else). It is creamy and tangy, and is a great complement to the fluffy sourdough bread. We wish the herbs had a bit more flavor against the goat cheese, but we still enjoyed the hint of freshness they added. For just under $7, we think this is a great portion for an afternoon snack!
We also grabbed the Croissant Salé for $9.75. This is a croissant with eggs, cheese, and bacon. We love that this is warmed to order, so you don’t have to worry about it being cold from sitting too long.
The croissant is flaky and buttery; everything you could ask for in a delicious croissant! The scrambled eggs were cooked well and were paired with well-rendered bacon. The ratio of croissant to egg to bacon to cheese worked well, and overall, we thought this was a delicious sandwich. It is like an upgraded breakfast sandwich, and we think this would be a great way to fuel your EPCOT day.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You are looking for something you can eat on the go. It is super easy to stop by Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to grab some food to go. There is limited seating available, but everything is ready to take on the go.
- You want a good breakfast option in EPCOT. We thought the Croissant Salé was tasty and filling. That is just one of the great breakfast options here that will also keep you fueled throughout the day. From croissants to pastries, we think this is a great option to start your day.
- You have picky eaters in your group. We think this could be a great option if you have some pickier eaters in your group. There are many bread, meat, and cheese options that picky eaters might enjoy.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want to experience French cuisine at a table service restaurant. While you can try some French pastries and sandwiches at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, it is a quick-service restaurant, and it can sometimes be difficult to find a seat. We recommend heading over to Chefs de France or La Creperie de Paris for a table-service experience.
- You are looking to grab a really quick bite. We usually see a line at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. While it usually moves pretty quickly, it can still take a bit of time to get your food.
- You want a relaxed dining atmosphere. We love Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, but it can also feel a bit chaotic here. From the line to the busy seating area, if you want a more calming environment, you might head over to a table-service restaurant such as Le Cellier Steakhouse or La Hacienda de San Angel.
Overall
We thought both of the food items we tried were fresh and delicious. The Pissaladiere packed a surprising punch of flavor. The Croissant Salé was an upgraded breakfast sandwich that was flaky, buttery, and satisfying. We keep returning to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for its delicious food. Whether you are in the mood for something sweet or savory, we think you will find something you enjoy here. While we wish it had a bit more seating, we are willing to do some table hunting to enjoy our food here!
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
