This week, we got some HUGE news about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Yes, the Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and now we know when folks will be able to ride the new attraction, from early previews to the roller coaster’s official opening date of May 26th.

However, we also got a lot more DETAILS about the ride, including a first look, as well as a complete song list of what you’ll hear while you’re on the ride. Now, of course, Disney fans have some BIG opinions about this news, so let’s see what some of y’all had to say!

So the biggest news we recently got about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets was the list of songs you’ll hear on the ride:

• “Song 2” by The Electric Mayhem (made famous by Blur)
• “Born To Be Wild” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken (made famous by Steppenwolf)
• “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
• “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
• “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson

Now, fans immediately commented that Disney might have missed out on a huge opportunity by not including an Aerosmith song, considering the ride’s roots. On Facebook, Nick commented, “Think this is a good list of songs, but I wouldn’t have at least put an Aerosmith song on there.That wasn’t featured on the original Ride instead of walking on sunshine.” [sic]

On Reddit, user dogsaybark wrote: “I only wish they had given us at least one Muppetafied Aerosmith track. Common! [sic] Respect history!“

Other fans didn’t seem to mind the ride getting rid of Aerosmith altogether. On Reddit, user drksolrsing wrote, “While I will miss the Aerosmith aesthetic, I think this will be a fun coaster.”

Now, we don’t know for sure that EVERY little bit of Aerosmith has been scrubbed for the ride. For all we know, there are a few surprise Easter eggs in the ride that point back to its Aerosmith roots.

Other Redditors loved the songs chosen for the ride. User JackPhlash wrote, “Went a little deep with Def Leppard and I’m here for it.” Redditor crackerfactorywheel commented, “The list of songs feels kinda random but I’m not mad about it.”

On Instagram, @minnie.and.megs commented, “I’m the most excited for walking on sunshine ☀️ 😍.” [sic]

Funny thing, a lot of folks recognized Love Rollercoaster as the song you hear in Final Destination during the scene with the log truck (and if you just cringed, you know what we’re talking about). Instagram user eli17345 commented, “Love Rollercoaster 😳 nooooooooooooooooo that’s like going behind a truck with logs.”

Some Redditors are just not impressed with any of the songs. PowSuperMum commented, “This playlist is so mid. If I wanted to hear these songs I’d go to the grocery store.” MasterManMike wrote, “I really hate that there isn’t a single muppet original song here… and that only TWO of the 5 songs are solely performed by muppets.”

Meanwhile, Redditor SkyYellow_SuneBlue wrote, “Aggressively mediocre song choices…”

It seems like Disney fans are split on how they feel about the ride so far. Of course, we won’t know for sure how hard these songs will slap until we ride the attraction when it opens.
