Disney has just announced that a fan favorite restaurant will be closing soon. So, if you’re planning a Disney trip this summer, you’ll want to hear this!

Especially if you’re planning on grabbing dinner around the EPCOT resort area, which is one of our favorite ways to escape the chaos of EPCOT without fully leaving the parks. We’ll walk out by the International Gateway, grab a quick meal, and then slide back in for an evening of fireworks.

Disney has just announced that starting next month, the fan favorite Yachtsman Steakhouse will be closing for a refurbishment and update.

The restaurant closure is set to begin on May 11th and reopen sometime in early August 2026. However, a specific date has not been provided.

This restaurant is located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and is known for its phenomenal steak, Creamy Lobster Bisque, and amazing Truffle Macaroni and Cheese.

However, if you’re looking to grab dinner on your walk around the beautiful EPCOT area resorts, you still have plenty of incredible options!

The BoardWalk

If you want to stick to the Yacht and Beach Club side, you have amazing options like Ale and Compass if you still want a fancier atmosphere, or Beaches and Creme Soda Shop, or Cape May Cafe for something a bit more casual.

However, if you want to walk around the water to the BoardWalk Resort area, you have great options like Flying Fish, Trattoria al Forno, or The Cake Bake Shop!

So if you had plans to visit Yachtsman Steakhouse this summer, don’t fret, there are still plenty of fun and delicious restaurants to visit during your time at the EPCOT area resorts!
