The NEW Florida Restaurants Rule That Can Change Your Dining Experience

There is a new rule hitting restaurants in Central Florida.

And it affects water?? Let’s dive in!

A new rule has been passed that requires restaurants in parts of Central Florida to only provide water if the guest specifically requests it. This comes after the Southwest Florida Water Management District board voted to implement new water restrictions to help with the current drought. So, if you want water at a restaurant in Central Florida, you may only be given it after asking!

And that’s not the only change coming as a result of this drought. The board has also released other restrictions, including:

Limiting residential outdoor water use.
Limits to at-home car washing.
Limited operation of aesthetic fountains to 4 hours per day.

These restrictions come as a result of the limited rainfall that has led to the drought and will most likely be lifted once the drought severity has decreased, but there is no confirmation of when these restrictions will be lifted.
