Disney World’s old Genie+ era is officially retired, packed into a crate, and wheeled backstage. The current setup is Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass. So if you’ve still got FastPass or Genie+ floating around in your brain like an outdated park map, it’s time for a refresh.
Disney now lets guests using Lightning Lane Multi Pass choose up to three experiences and arrival windows in advance, while Lightning Lane Single Pass covers certain headliners that are not part of Multi Pass. There’s also Premier Pass, which gives one-time access to every available Lightning Lane in one park for one day.
Disney’s current official lineup works out to 48 Multi Pass experiences across the four parks, plus 5 Single Pass attractions that are sold separately. These offerings can change, closures happen, and the My Disney Experience app is the final boss when it comes to day-of accuracy.
First, here’s how the current Lightning Lane system works
With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can choose up to three experiences and arrival windows in one park before your visit. After you redeem your first Multi Pass selection, or after that first arrival window passes, you can grab another experience one at a time, subject to availability. If you have Park Hopper, you can start booking across parks after that first redemption. Disney Resort hotel guests and guests at certain other select hotels can buy passes 7 days before check-in, while everyone else can buy them 3 days before their park visit.
A couple more things to keep in your back pocket: you can buy up to two Single Passes per day, prices vary by date and attraction, and Disney only allows one Lightning Lane entry per attraction per day, per pass. So no, you cannot loop your favorite ride twelve times like a tiny chaos goblin with a MagicBand.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the park where strategy matters most, because Disney splits the Multi Pass choices into two groups. You can choose up to one from the higher-demand group, then pick your other selections from the second group.
Choose one from this group:
- Jungle Cruise
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Space Mountain
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Choose your other two, or all three, from this group:
- The Barnstormer
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin*
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Haunted Mansion
- “it’s a small world”
- Mad Tea Party
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
The Single Pass rides here are
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Tiny asterisk with a laser blaster attached: Disney currently lists Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin as part of Multi Pass, but the attraction is temporarily closed and scheduled to reopen on April 8, 2026.
EPCOT
EPCOT also uses the two-group setup, though it’s a little less feral than Magic Kingdom. If you’re trying to build a smart EPCOT day, the top-tier group is where your real decision-making begins.
Choose one from this group:
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Test Track
Choose your other two, or all three, from this group:
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Mission: SPACE
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush
The Single Pass attraction here is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind,
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is still the park where Lightning Lane can feel like a contact sport, so this list matters. Multi Pass again uses the two-group system, with the biggest hitters clustered in the top tier.
Choose one from this group:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster
- Slinky Dog Dash
Choose your other two, or all three, from this group:
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
- For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- Toy Story Mania!
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
The Single Pass attraction is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
One important 2026 wrinkle here: Disney’s official Lightning Lane page currently lists Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in that top group, but Disney’s calendar and attraction pages also show the coaster as temporarily unavailable ahead of its summer 2026 reopening. So for practical planning right now, plan to treat that attraction as a top-tier selection option.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is the easiest park in the bunch because it does not split Multi Pass into tiers. You simply choose up to three from the available list.
Multi Pass experiences at Animal Kingdom:
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- Feathered Friends in Flight!
- Festival of the Lion King
- Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
- Kali River Rapids
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Naʻvi River Journey
- Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
The Single Pass attraction here is Avatar Flight of Passage.
This lineup is sure to change when the new Pueblo Esperanza opens, and we get to experience new Indiana Jones and Encanto themed rides and attractions!
Key Takeaways
You’re not just buying access to “whatever’s on the list” anymore. You’re choosing from tiered ride groups in three parks, navigating separate Single Pass headliners, and trying to make your first three picks count. So yes, Lightning Lane can absolutely help. But it works best when you treat it like a tool, not a magic wand. Know your park, know your priorities, and do not stroll into Hollywood Studios thinking the app is just going to tuck Slinky Dog Dash into your plans out of the goodness of its corporate heart. It will not.
